Introduction
What Is the AKY-730PRO?
The AKY-730PRO is a wireless 4K quick-release camera designed for motorcycles and bicycles.
It features a Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor, image stabilization, water resistance, GPS, and a touchscreen display. With clear and stable footage, it records important moments during your ride, including lane changes, overtaking, intersections, road conditions, and unexpected incidents.
Designed specifically for real-world road use, this riding camera is easy to install, protects important recordings, and allows you to review and download footage through the app.
The device is equipped with a touchscreen, GPS, a microSD card slot, a USB Type-C port, a waterproof charging port, LED indicators, and a reset hole.
Before use, make sure that you have the following items:

For first-time use, we recommend fully charging the device, checking the microSD card, installing the device, and then connecting it to the app.
1. Charge the AKY-730PRO
Before using the device for the first time, fully charge it using the included waterproof charging cable.
Steps

Open the cover on the rear of the main unit.

Align the waterproof charging cable with the terminal on the main unit.
-
Make sure that the waterproof silicone gasket is properly seated in the terminal groove.
-
Insert the cable completely.
-
Make sure that the locking mechanism on the cable side is securely closed.
-
Connect the USB end to a power source to begin charging.
LED Indicators
-
While charging: The green LED remains lit.
-
When fully charged: The green LED turns off.
Key Points
-
Use a USB power source that supports 5V/2.2A.
-
When the battery is already fully charged, the green LED may not light up even if the charging cable is connected.
-
To record while charging, a power source with an output of at least 1.1W is required.
-
When using a power bank, make sure that it has sufficient remaining capacity and output.
About Fast Charging
Fast charging is supported when the waterproof charging cable is connected directly to a USB Type-A port.
When using a USB Type-C adapter to connect the cable to a Type-C power source, fast charging may not work properly depending on the specifications of the power source.
Notice
Before using the device outdoors, make sure that the waterproof silicone gasket and connector are securely fitted.
2. Download the AKEEYO App
By connecting the AKY-730PRO to the AKEEYO smartphone app, you can view the live camera image and adjust various settings.

To use the device without registering an account, tap Skip in the upper-right corner of the login screen.
3. Check the microSD Card
A compatible microSD card is required to use the AKY-730PRO.
Supported Cards
-
Capacity: 16GB to 256GB
-
Use a high-speed microSD card that meets the requirements specified in the User Manual.
The AKY-730PRO User Manual states that microSD cards with capacities from 16GB to 256GB are supported.
Installation Steps
-
Turn off the main unit.
-
Open the microSD card slot cover on the bottom of the main unit.
-
Position the microSD card with the metal contacts facing upward.
-
Insert the card straight into the slot.
-
Press it gently until it locks into place.
-
Make sure that the card slot cover is securely closed.
-
Turn on the device and check whether the card is recognized.
-
Before using the card for the first time, format it using either the main unit or the app.
Notice
-
Always turn off the device before removing or reinserting the microSD card.
-
Do not force the card into the slot.
-
Be careful not to insert the card into the gap between the card slot and the cover.
-
Removing the card while recording may damage the recorded data.
-
Prevent dust and foreign objects from entering the area around the card slot.
-
For stable operation, we recommend formatting the card regularly.
4. Mount the Main Unit
The AKY-730PRO can be installed in different ways depending on your riding environment, including on a motorcycle, bicycle, or bicycle computer mount.
When Using a U-Bolt Mount

Prepare the magnetic mounting adapter bracket and U-bolt.
-
Attach the magnetic mounting adapter bracket to the main unit.
-
Secure the U-bolt to the handlebar or pipe.
-
Adjust the position of the mount.
-
Attach the main unit to the mount.
-
Adjust the recording angle and tighten all screws.
-
Before riding, make sure that there is no looseness or movement.
When Using a Quick-Release Mount
-
Attach the selected mount to the handlebar.
-
Use the rubber pad to secure the mount and prevent it from moving.
-
Install the Garmin-standard quick-release adapter on the bottom of the main unit.
-
Align the main unit parallel with the mount.
-
Press the main unit into place and rotate it approximately 90 degrees to secure it.
-
Adjust the recording angle and tighten the fixing screws.
Installation Tips
-
Install the device in a position that does not obstruct your view.
-
Do not install it in a location that interferes with steering or other riding operations.
-
Make sure that the display, cables, mount, and other objects do not appear in front of the camera lens.
-
After installation, check that there are no loose screws or unstable parts.
-
Always attach the safety tether.
-
Before riding, make sure that the main unit is securely locked in place.
5. Turn the Device On
Power On and Off
-
Press and hold the power button for approximately three seconds to turn on the device.
-
While the device is on, press and hold the power button for approximately three seconds to turn it off.
Start or Pause Recording
-
While recording, briefly press the power button once to pause recording.
-
When recording is paused, briefly press the power button once to resume recording.
When Connected to an External Power Source
If automatic recording upon power connection is enabled in the settings, connecting an external power source while the device is off will cause recording to start automatically.
The device’s behavior after the external power source is disconnected depends on settings such as the delayed shutdown setting.
6. Connect the App via Wi-Fi

The characters at the end of the Wi-Fi name vary depending on the device.
Connection Steps
1.Turn on the AKY-730PRO.
2. Open the settings menu on the device.
3. Turn on Wi-Fi.
4. Open the AKEEYO app on your smartphone.
5. Select Add Camera.
6. Open the Wi-Fi settings on your smartphone.
7. Select **730Pro-****.
8. Enter the default password:12345678
9. After connecting, return to the AKEEYO app.
10. Make sure that the live camera image is displayed.
The default Wi-Fi password provided in the User Manual is 12345678.

The Wi-Fi name will not appear if the device is turned off.
-
Your smartphone may temporarily lose internet access while connected to the device’s Wi-Fi.
-
The device’s Wi-Fi is used exclusively for data communication with the app.
-
The app may not connect properly if a VPN or proxy is enabled.
-
Some smartphones may prioritize mobile data over the device’s Wi-Fi connection.
Recording While Connected to the App
Recording starts automatically when you enter the live preview screen in the app.
To pause recording, briefly press the power button on the device once.
The AKY-730PRO supports loop recording, emergency recording, parking monitoring recording, photo capture, and pre-recording.
Loop Recording
Loop recording starts automatically when the device is turned on.
When the normal recording area of the microSD card becomes full, the oldest standard recording files are overwritten in sequence.
Emergency Recording
Emergency recording starts when the device detects an impact or tilt.
During emergency recording, the red LED flashes rapidly.
Emergency recording files are not automatically overwritten. If many emergency files have been saved, make sure to back up any necessary files before deleting them.
Parking Monitoring Recording
Parking monitoring is disabled by default.
To use this function, enable parking monitoring and adjust the impact detection sensitivity in the AKEEYO app.
While the device is turned off, detecting an impact will wake the device. It will record for approximately 30 seconds and then automatically return to standby mode.
Photo Capture
Photos can be taken through the AKEEYO app.
Pre-Recording
When pre-recording is enabled and an impact is detected while recording is paused, the device saves an event video containing approximately 10 seconds before the impact and 15 seconds after the impact.
Pre-recording does not operate while the settings screen or recording playback screen is displayed.
8. Review Recorded Data
You can review recorded data using either the AKEEYO app or a computer.
Review Recordings in the App

Connect your smartphone to the AKY-730PRO Wi-Fi.
-
Open the AKEEYO app.
-
Select the camera files.
-
Tap the video you want to view.
-
Download the required video to your smartphone.
You can also select and download multiple videos at the same time.
Downloaded files are marked as downloaded.
Review Recordings on a Computer
When Removing the microSD Card
-
Turn off the main unit.
-
Remove the microSD card.
-
Connect the card to a computer using a card reader.
-
Select the required video or photo from the file folder.
When Using a USB Cable
You can connect the device to a computer using a USB cable that supports data transfer and then view the files.
If you use a charging-only cable, the computer may not recognize the device.
How to Read the LED Indicators
You can check the status of the device by looking at the LED color and flashing pattern.

The Device Does Not Turn On
If the device does not start after pressing and holding the power button, check the following:

Connect the included charging cable.
-
Charge the device for at least 30 minutes, and then try turning it on again.
-
Remove the microSD card and try starting the device without it.
-
If the problem continues, use a reset pin to press the reset hole on the rear of the device.
-
Turn the device on again.
The AKY-730PRO Cannot Connect to the App
Check the following in order:
-
Make sure that your smartphone is connected to the device’s Wi-Fi network, **730Pro-****.
-
Temporarily disable mobile data on your smartphone.
-
Disable any VPN or proxy.
-
Restart both the AKY-730PRO and the AKEEYO app.
-
If the problem continues, restore the device to its factory settings and reconnect it.
-
If it still cannot connect, contact customer support.
Wi-Fi Is Connected, but the App Does Not Recognize the Device
-
Disconnect your smartphone from the device’s Wi-Fi.
-
Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network of the main unit.
-
Delete all registered devices from the AKEEYO app.
-
Add the AKY-730PRO again.
-
Restart both your smartphone and the AKY-730PRO.
-
If the problem continues, restore the device to its factory settings.
Internet Access Is Unavailable While Connected to Wi-Fi
This is normal.
The AKY-730PRO Wi-Fi is used exclusively for communication between the camera and the AKEEYO app. It does not provide internet access.
To access the internet, disconnect from the device’s Wi-Fi and switch to mobile data or a standard Wi-Fi network.
Recording Starts Automatically After Connecting to the App
This is normal.
Recording starts automatically when you enter the live preview screen.
To pause recording, briefly press the power button on the device once.
I Have Not Received the Registration Verification Code

Make sure that the email address you entered is correct.
-
Check your spam or junk mail folder.
-
You can request a verification code up to 10 times per day.
-
Use a different email address if necessary.
-
You can also use the app without registering by tapping Skip on the login screen.
The Blue LED Flashes Rapidly and Recording Does Not Start
A rapidly flashing blue LED indicates that the microSD card is not recognized or that an error has occurred.
-
Turn off the main unit.
-
Reinsert the microSD card in the correct orientation.
-
Format the card on a computer using FAT32 or exFAT.
-
Insert it back into the device and format it again using the device.
-
Try another compatible high-speed microSD card.
-
If multiple cards are not recognized, contact customer support.
“SD Card Error” or “No SD Card” Is Displayed
-
Format the microSD card as exFAT using a computer.
-
Insert the card into the main unit and format it again using the device.
-
Try another compatible microSD card.
-
If none of the cards are recognized, the card slot may need to be inspected.
Videos Cannot Be Recorded, Played, or Downloaded
-
Check the microSD card for damaged files.
-
Do not use the same microSD card in multiple cameras.
-
If firmware files from another device are stored on the card, delete them.
-
Back up any necessary videos.
-
Format the microSD card and try recording again.
The microSD Card Cannot Be Inserted
-
Make sure that the metal contacts of the microSD card are facing upward.
-
Make sure that the card has not been inserted into the gap between the card slot and the cover.
-
Do not force the card into the slot.
-
If the card slot is deformed or damaged, contact customer support and provide photos.
GPS Positioning Is Not Complete and the Speed Indicator Continues to Flash
A flashing speed indicator means that GPS positioning is still in progress.
-
Move outdoors to an open area with a clear view of the sky.
-
Avoid tall buildings, tunnels, roofs, and metal structures.
-
Keep the device turned on and wait approximately 5 to 15 minutes.
-
GPS positioning is complete when the speed display stops flashing and the displayed number begins to change.
-
Until positioning is complete, the speed, travel distance, and direction may not be displayed correctly.
GPS Positioning Takes a Long Time
GPS positioning may take longer when the device is used for the first time or has not been used for an extended period.
This is not a malfunction. Wait approximately 5 to 15 minutes in an open area with a clear view of the sky.
The Speed Display Shows 0 km/h Inside a Tunnel
This is normal.
Because GPS signals cannot be received inside a tunnel, the speed display may show 0 km/h.
The display will recover automatically after leaving the tunnel and receiving a GPS signal again.
Videos Recorded Inside a Tunnel Are Saved as Emergency Recordings
If vehicle vibration is detected while the GPS signal is lost, impact detection may be activated and the video may be saved as an emergency recording.
If this happens frequently, reduce the impact detection sensitivity in the app.
The Device Becomes Warm During Recording
The device may become warm during high-resolution recording because the video-processing chip is operating.
This is normal.
However, observe the following precautions:

Do not touch the heat-dissipation area on the bottom of the main unit for an extended period.
-
Avoid using the device under intense sunlight or in an enclosed space.
-
If the device behaves abnormally after prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, stop using it and allow it to cool completely.
-
If the device remains excessively hot, reduce the recording resolution and check whether the condition improves.
Mounts and Accessories
The Garmin-Standard Quick-Release Adapter Has Come Loose
-
Check the adapter mounting screws on the bottom of the main unit.
-
Check whether the screws on the mount side are loose.
-
Retighten the screws.
-
If the adapter or mount is damaged, deformed, or detached, stop using it.
-
Contact customer support and provide photos.
How to Restore the Factory Settings
If connection or configuration problems continue, try restoring the device to its factory settings.
Restore from the Main Unit
-
Pause recording.
-
Press the power button five times in succession.
-
The main unit will turn off automatically.
-
It will restart automatically and restore the factory settings.
Restore from the App
-
Connect the AKY-730PRO to the AKEEYO app.
-
Open the settings screen.
-
Select Restore Factory Settings.
-
Confirm and perform the reset.
Use the Reset Hole
If the main unit cannot be operated, use a reset pin to press the reset hole on the rear of the device.
Notice
Restoring the factory settings resets the Wi-Fi and recording settings to their default values.
Safety Precautions

Do not operate the device or smartphone while riding.
-
Do not install the device in a position that obstructs your view or interferes with riding operations.

Before riding, check the main unit, mount, fixing screws, and safety tether.
-
Do not disassemble or modify this product.
-
Do not charge or store the device in hot or humid environments.
-
If you notice an unusual smell, noise, or smoke, stop using the device immediately.
-
Although the device is water-resistant, do not spray it directly with a high-pressure washer.
-
Always close the charging port cover and microSD card slot cover before use.
-
If the charging terminal or contacts are wet, allow them to dry completely before charging.
