Device Temperature and Operating Environment

Device Temperature and Operating Environment

The Device Becomes Warm During Recording

The device may become warm during high-resolution recording because the video-processing chip is operating.

This is normal.

  • Do not touch the heat-dissipation area on the bottom of the main unit for an extended period.
  • Do not use the device under intense sunlight or in an enclosed space.
  • If you notice an unusual smell, smoke, or abnormal noise, stop using the device immediately.
The Device Shuts Down During 4K Recording in Hot Weather

The device temperature may have risen and activated the thermal protection function.

  1. Stop using the device.
  2. Allow it to cool completely in a shaded or well-ventilated area.
  3. Reduce the recording resolution.
  4. Avoid direct sunlight before using the device again.

Parking Monitoring Does Not Start at High Temperatures

If the temperature of the main unit is too high, parking monitoring may not start for safety reasons.

Allow the device to cool completely, and then check the function again.

Startup Is Slower or Battery Operating Time Is Shorter in Cold Weather

Battery performance may temporarily decrease in low-temperature environments.

Moving the device to an environment with a suitable temperature may restore normal startup performance and battery operating time.

The Device Does Not Work Properly After Prolonged Exposure to Direct Sunlight
  • Stop using the device.
  • Turn off the power.
  • Allow the device to cool completely in a shaded area.
  • Restart the device after it has cooled.
  • Recording Is Unstable in Areas with Strong Vibration
  • Make sure that the main unit and mount are securely installed.
  • Retighten all mounting screws.
  • Check the rubber pads and safety tether.
  • Try another mounting position for comparison.
  • Can I Record Continuously for Long Periods or in Different Weather Conditions?

The AKY-730PRO supports long-duration recording while riding.

For extended recording, check the following:

    • Use a stable external power source.
    • Use a high-speed microSD card with sufficient capacity.
    • Make sure that the heat-dissipation area of the main unit is not obstructed.
    • Close the waterproof charging port and other covers securely.
    • Check the mounting condition regularly.
