microSD Card and Data Storage

The Blue LED Flashes Rapidly and Recording Does Not Start
  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Reinsert the microSD card in the correct orientation.
  3. Back up any important data.
  4. Format the microSD card on a computer using FAT32 or exFAT.
  5. Reinsert the card into the device and format it again using either the device or the AKEEYO app.
  6. Test the device with another compatible high-speed microSD card.

Formatting the microSD card will erase all data stored on it.


“SD Card Error” or “No SD Card” Is Displayed
  1. Turn off the device and reinsert the microSD card.
  2. Format the microSD card as exFAT.
  3. Reinsert the card into the device and format it again using the device.
  4. Test the device with another compatible microSD card.

If multiple compatible microSD cards are not recognized, the card slot or the device may require inspection.


The microSD Card Works on a Computer but Is Not Recognized by the Device
  1. Back up any important data to your computer.
  2. Format the microSD card using FAT32 or exFAT.

The microSD Card Cannot Be Inserted
  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Check the orientation of the microSD card.
  3. Make sure that the card is not being inserted into the gap between the card slot and the cover.
  4. Insert the card straight into the slot.

Do not force the microSD card into the slot.

If the card slot is deformed or damaged, contact customer support and provide clear photos of the affected area.


microSD Card Formatting Does Not Complete
  1. Restart the device.
  2. Format the microSD card on a computer.
  3. Reinsert it into the device and format it again.
  4. If the issue persists, test the device with another compatible microSD card.

If the formatting process is interrupted, the microSD card may be damaged or degraded.


Videos Cannot Be Recorded, Played, or Downloaded
  1. Check whether the microSD card contains any damaged files.
  2. Delete any firmware files intended for a different device model.
  3. Back up any important videos.
  4. Format the microSD card.
  5. Record a new video and check whether it can be played and downloaded normally.

Using the same microSD card in multiple cameras may cause file system errors.


Videos Are Damaged or Cannot Be Played

Videos may become damaged if the power is disconnected unexpectedly or the microSD card is removed while recording.

  1. Try playing the video on a computer using a media player such as VLC.
  2. Record a new video using another compatible high-speed microSD card.
  3. Make sure that the power supply is stable.
Video Downloads Take a Long Time
  • Reduce the distance between the device and your smartphone.
  • Switch to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band if it is available.
  • For large files, remove the microSD card and copy the files to a computer using a card reader.
  • Alternatively, connect the device to a computer using a USB cable that supports data transfer.
    • microSD Card Folder Structure

    The main storage folders are as follows:

    • Normal: Standard recordings
    • Event: Emergency recordings and pre-recorded videos
    • Photo: Photos
    • Parking: Parking monitoring recordings

    If these folders have not been created, format the microSD card using either the device or the AKEEYO app.


    The microSD Card Appears to Have Less Available Space Than Expected

    Storage space is reserved for standard recordings, emergency recordings, photos, parking monitoring recordings, and system files.

    As a result, the available storage capacity displayed by the device may be lower than the card’s stated capacity.

    Recording Stops When the microSD Card Is Full

    If loop recording is disabled, recording cannot continue once the microSD card becomes full.

    1. Enable loop recording.
    2. Back up any emergency recordings that you need to keep.
    3. Delete unnecessary files or format the microSD card.

    Emergency recording files are not overwritten automatically.


    Multiple Video Files Are Saved

    During loop recording, videos are saved as separate files at fixed time intervals.

    The continuous creation of multiple video files is normal.
