GPS Positioning Takes a Long Time

When the device is used for the first time or has not been used for an extended period, GPS positioning may take approximately 5 to 15 minutes.

This is not a malfunction.

Keep the device turned on in an open area with a clear view of the sky and wait for positioning to complete.

The GPS Speed Is Not Displayed
  1. Check whether the speed indicator is flashing.
  2. Move outdoors to an open area with a clear view of the sky.
  3. After GPS positioning is complete, move the vehicle and check whether the displayed speed changes.
Info

Additional Information

The speed display may not update while the vehicle is stationary.

The Latitude and Longitude Do Not Update
  • Make sure that GPS positioning has been completed.
  • Move to an open area with a clear view of the sky.
  • Restart the AKY-730PRO.
  • The GPS Position Is Significantly Inaccurate

GPS positioning may temporarily become inaccurate near tall buildings, tunnels, mountainous areas, or metal structures.

    1. Test the device in an open area with a clear view of the sky.
    2. Restart the AKY-730PRO.
    3. If the issue persists, restore the device to its factory settings and test it again.
The Map Is Not Displayed in the App
  • Make sure that GPS positioning has been completed.
  • Restart the AKEEYO app.
  • On Android devices, download the offline map from the More section of the app.
  • The Speed Display Shows 0 km/h Inside a Tunnel

GPS signals cannot be received inside a tunnel, so the displayed speed may drop to 0 km/h.

After leaving the tunnel, the speed display will recover automatically once the device receives a GPS signal again.

Videos Recorded Inside a Tunnel Are Saved as Emergency Recordings

If vehicle vibration is detected while the GPS signal is unavailable, the G-sensor may activate and save the video as an emergency recording.

If this occurs frequently, reduce the G-sensor sensitivity in the AKEEYO app.

The Direction Is Not Displayed on the Screen

Direction information is displayed after GPS positioning has been completed.

If the speed indicator is flashing, move to an open area with a clear view of the sky and wait for GPS positioning to complete.
