Parking Monitoring, Time-Lapse Recording, and Pre-Recording

Parking Monitoring Does Not Activate

Parking monitoring is disabled by default.

  1. Enable parking monitoring in the AKEEYO app.
  2. Set the G-sensor sensitivity.
  3. Fully charge the device.
  4. Turn off the AKY-730PRO.
  5. In a safe environment, gently shake the device or vehicle to test the function.
Parking Monitoring Videos Cannot Be Found
Check the recording list in the AKEEYO app or the Parking folder on the microSD card.
Parking Monitoring Videos Are Created Too Frequently
  • Reduce the G-sensor sensitivity.
  • Avoid parking in locations subject to continuous vibration.
  • Check whether the main unit or mount is loose.
    • The Parking Monitoring Recording Time Seems Short

    When an impact is detected, parking monitoring activates and records for approximately 30 seconds.

    The recording duration is fixed and cannot be changed.

    Wi-Fi Is Unavailable During Parking Monitoring

    Wi-Fi is turned off during parking monitoring to reduce power consumption.

    This is normal.

    What Is the Difference Between Parking Monitoring and Time-Lapse Recording?

    Parking Monitoring

    Parking monitoring records when the device detects an impact or vibration while it is turned off.

    Time-Lapse Recording

    Time-lapse recording continues at a low frame rate while the device is turned on.

    Time-Lapse Recording Does Not Start
  • Check the available storage space on the microSD card.
  • Enable time-lapse recording in the AKEEYO app.
  • Set the frame rate.
  • Restart the AKY-730PRO and check the setting again.
    • Time-Lapse Footage Plays Back Quickly

    Time-lapse recording captures footage at a lower frame rate.

    It is normal for the resulting video to appear faster than standard recordings.

    Time-Lapse Recording Files Are Smaller

    Time-lapse recording captures fewer frames, so the resulting files are smaller than standard recording files.


    Time-Lapse Recording Consumes More Battery Power

    The device remains active during time-lapse recording and continues to consume battery power.

    For extended use, connect the device to a stable external power source.


    What Is Pre-Recording?

    When pre-recording is enabled and an impact is detected, an event file containing the following footage is saved:

    • Before the impact: Approximately 10 seconds
    • After the impact: Approximately 15 seconds
    What Conditions Are Required for Pre-Recording to Operate?

    Pre-recording activates when the device detects an impact or vibration while recording is paused.

    Pre-recording does not operate while the settings screen or recording playback screen is displayed.

    Where Are Pre-Recording Files Saved?
    Pre-recording files are saved in the Event folder on the microSD card.
    Pre-Recording Files Are Not Created
  • Make sure that pre-recording is enabled.
  • Make sure that recording is paused.
  • Close the settings and playback screens.
  • In a safe environment, gently shake the device to test the function.
    • Does Pre-Recording Continuously Use microSD Card Storage?

    Pre-recorded footage is temporarily stored in the device’s internal memory.

    The data is not written to the microSD card unless an impact is detected.
