Intermittent Recording Interruptions – Loop Recording Stops Randomly

If your AKY-710S/AKY-710Pro is set to record in 1-minute loop intervals and you've noticed that recording occasionally stops for several minutes before resuming, please check the following:

1. Check for Emergency Recordings

Sometimes, sudden movements, bumps, or vibrations may trigger the dashcam’s emergency recording mode, which stores footage in a separate folder and pauses normal loop recording.
Please check whether the missing footage has been saved under the “Emergency” or “Event” folder.

2. Check the SD/Memory Card Health

An unstable or failing memory card can cause interruptions in recording.

  • Make sure you're using a high-quality, U3-rated SD card recommended for continuous video recording.
  • If in doubt, try a different SD card to rule out card-related issues.

3. Ensure Stable Power Supply

Recording interruptions can also be caused by unstable power. Please verify the following:

  • Check for any loose or unstable connections in the power cable.
  • If your dashcam is connected via a cable, ensure the screws are tightly secured so vibrations while riding do not loosen the cable.
  • Power loss during riding may lead to sudden shutdowns or incomplete recordings.

📌 Tip: In the device settings, try setting the “Delayed Shutdown Time” to 5 minutes.
This helps ensure that the camera finishes saving files properly even if power is briefly lost after a ride.
