The OTA Update Fails
  1. Make sure that the battery level is above 50%.
  2. Connect the device to an external power source if possible.
  3. Make sure that your Wi-Fi connection is stable.
  4. Disable any VPN or proxy connection.
  5. Restart the update from the beginning.

Do not turn off the device or disconnect the cable during the update.


The OTA Update Does Not Progress Beyond 0%
  • Check your smartphone’s internet connection.
  • Disable any VPN or proxy connection.
  • Restart both the AKEEYO app and the AKY-730PRO.
  • Connect the device to an external power source and run the update again.
  • The Firmware Cannot Be Updated from a microSD Card

    Make sure that the firmware file is saved in the root directory of the microSD card.

    1. Extract the downloaded firmware package.
    2. Save the specified firmware file in the root directory of the microSD card.
    3. Make sure that the file name has not been changed.
    4. Connect the AKY-730PRO to an external power source before starting the update.

    The Firmware Version Remains Unchanged After the Update
  • Restart the AKY-730PRO.
  • Check the firmware version on the settings screen.
  • If the version has not changed, run the update again.
  • Some Functions Do Not Work Properly After the Update
    1. Restore the device to its factory settings.
    2. Restart the AKY-730PRO.
    3. Reconfigure the recording resolution, Wi-Fi, parking monitoring, and other settings.
    4. Check the condition of the microSD card.

    Some or all settings may return to their default values after a firmware update.

    The Update Runs Every Time the Device Starts

    After the update is complete, connect the microSD card to a computer and delete the firmware file.

    Alternatively, back up any required data and format the microSD card.

    The Time Is Incorrect After the Update
    Connect the AKY-730PRO to the AKEEYO app and synchronize the time with your smartphone.
    Settings Are Not Saved
  • Restart the AKY-730PRO.
  • Change the settings again.
  • If the issue persists, restore the device to its factory settings.
  • The System Runs Slowly
  • Check the available storage space on the microSD card.
  • Back up any important videos.
  • Format the microSD card.
  • Restart the AKY-730PRO.
  • A File System Error Is Displayed
  • Back up any important data.
  • Format the microSD card using either the AKY-730PRO or the AKEEYO app.
  • If the issue persists, test the device with another compatible high-speed microSD card.
  • How to Restore the Factory Settings

    If connection or configuration problems persist, restore the device to its factory settings.

    Restore from the Main Unit

    1. Pause recording.
    2. Press the power button five times in succession.
    3. The main unit will turn off automatically.
    4. It will then restart automatically and restore the factory settings.

    Restore from the App

    1. Connect the AKY-730PRO to the AKEEYO app.
    2. Open the settings screen.
    3. Select Restore Factory Settings.
    4. Confirm and perform the reset.

    Use the Reset Hole

    If the main unit cannot be operated, use the reset pin to press the reset hole on the rear of the device.

    Restoring the factory settings will reset the Wi-Fi and recording settings to their default values.
