Charging and Battery

The Green LED Does Not Light Up Even When the Charging Cable Is Connected

The green LED may not light up when the battery is already fully charged.

  1. Check the battery level on the main screen or in the AKEEYO app.
  2. Use a USB power source that supports 5V/2.2A.
  3. Try another charging cable or power source.
  4. Make sure that the charging terminals are dry.
  5. Insert the waterproof charging cable fully and lock it securely in place.
Charging Takes a Long Time

Charging may be slower while the device is recording or operating at a high-resolution setting.

  1. Use a stable USB power source that supports 5V/2.2A.
  2. Use the included waterproof charging cable.
  3. Compare the charging time while recording is paused.
  4. Connect the device to another power source.
The Device Becomes Warm While Recording and Charging

When the device is recording at a high resolution while charging, its temperature may rise due to simultaneous video processing and battery charging.

  1. Avoid exposing the device to direct sunlight.
  2. Do not use the device in an enclosed space.
  3. Reduce the recording resolution if necessary.
Warning

Notice

Do not touch the heat-dissipation area on the bottom of the main unit for an extended period. When the device is recording at a high resolution while charging, its temperature may rise due to simultaneous video processing and battery charging

The Battery Level Does Not Increase While Recording and Charging

When functions such as 4K recording, Wi-Fi, and GPS are used simultaneously, most of the available power may be used to operate the device.

Use a stable external power source with sufficient output.

The Battery Operating Time Seems Short

Battery operating time varies depending on the following conditions:

  • Recording resolution
  • Frame rate
  • Wi-Fi usage
  • GPS usage
  • HDR or WDR
  • Image stabilization
  • Screen-on time
  • Operating temperature
  • Battery condition

Additional Information

The following operating times are approximate guidelines when using the built-in 3,500 mAh battery:

  • 4K at 30 fps: Approximately 3.5 hours
  • Power-Saving Mode: Approximately 6 hours

For extended recording, use the included waterproof charging cable and a stable external power source.

The Battery Level Drops Suddenly

The displayed battery level is an estimate calculated from the battery voltage and other operating conditions.

The displayed level may temporarily change significantly depending on the operating load and temperature.

When the remaining battery level is below 20%, the displayed level may decrease more quickly due to battery protection.

The Battery Level Differs Between the Main Unit and the App

The battery level displayed in the app may be delayed.

Use the battery level shown on the main unit as the primary reference.
The Battery Level Increases After the Device Is Turned Off

After use, the battery voltage may recover slightly, causing the displayed battery level to increase.

This is normal.

The Power Bank Stops Supplying Power Automatically

Some power banks automatically enter sleep mode when the current draw is low.

Use a power bank that supports low-current mode or continuous power output.

The Waterproof Charging Connection Is Unstable
  1. Check the charging terminals for dust, moisture, or dirt.
  2. Clean the terminals using a soft, dry cloth.
  3. Make sure that the waterproof silicone gasket is installed correctly.
  4. Insert the charging cable fully and lock it securely in place.
Info

Notice

If the charging terminals are wet, allow them to dry completely before charging.
